ITech Consult AG in Lucerne seeks an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) with strong SAFe expertise to manage one or more Agile Release Trains in the health insurance and claims domain, driving planning, delivery and continuous improvement across value streams.

You hold SAFe SPC and SAFe RTE certifications, have at least 3 years as an RTE within the last five years, and proven Swiss health insurance experience, especially in claims processes. German language at C1 is mandatory.

• Coach and support Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams in Lean-Agile practices.
• Identify, manage, and elevate dependencies and risks between teams, trains, and stakeholders.

Release Train Engineer – Health Insurance / Claims

Project / Role

For our client in the Swiss health insurance sector, we are looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) with strong SAFe expertise. In this key role, you will be responsible for the agile planning and management of one or more Agile Release Trains (ARTs) within the health insurance and claims environment and will play a key role in the further development of the client's digital solutions.

Main Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate one or more Agile Release Trains according to the SAFe framework, including planning, coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare, facilitate, and follow up on PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt workshops, System Demos, and ART Sync meetings.
• Ensure end-to-end delivery capability across value streams within the health insurance environment, particularly benefits/claims.
• Coach and support Product Managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams in Lean-Agile practices.
• Identify, manage, and elevate dependencies and risks between teams, trains, and stakeholders.
• Work closely with health insurance business departments, such as Claims/Benefits, Tariffs, and Products, as well as IT, to implement strategic objectives.
• Establish and further develop agile metrics covering flow, delivery, and quality, including reporting to program and line management.
• Actively promote a culture of continuous improvement and agile transformation within the organization.

Requirements

• SAFe SPC (Scaled Agile Program Consultant) certification
• SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification
• At least 3 years of experience as a Release Train Engineer within the last 5 years.
• At least 3 years of experience in a senior role (e.g., Senior Project Manager, Program Manager, Senior RTE, Senior Product Manager, etc.) within a Swiss health insurance company during the last 6 years.
• Proven Claims experience within a Swiss health insurance company, including benefits processes, claims assessment, and claims processing.

Nice to Have

• Experience with TARDOC or TARMED tariffs in the Swiss health insurance environment.

Education

• Higher education (University of Applied Sciences / University / ETH) in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification.
• Additional education or training in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, or Lean-Agile Leadership, is an advantage.
