Zusammenfassung

Helvetia Baloise Group seeks a Reinsurance Manager (all genders) to own the reinsurance treaty cessions and serve as a center of competence for assigned units. You will organize meetings with business units and partners, set up treaties, and manage the process with supporting systems.

You will analyze data, secure underwriting information, develop partner relationships, and negotiate terms with reinsurers. A degree in economics or law and strong English are essential.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in economics or law or equivalent insurance qualification.
• Experience as (Senior) Underwriter for reinsurance treaty business.
• Fluent English; other languages are an asset; able to present to audiences.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and decisive decision-making abilities.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Team player capable of working with senior managers and stakeholders.

Aufgaben

• Own the center of competence for reinsurance treaty cessions for assigned units.
• Organize and participate in meetings with units and partners (brokers/reinsurers).
• Set up/manage reinsurance treaties and process with supporting systems.
• Secure underwriting information: premiums, risk profiles, claims data.
• Analyze data and prepare underwriting information for lines of business.
• Develop relationships with business partners inside and outside Helvetia Baloise Group.
• Negotiate treaty terms with units and third-party reinsurers.
• Account handling for dedicated contracts including premium/claims accounting.

What you'll be doing

• Overall responsibility and center of competence for reinsurance treaty cessions in respect of the assigned business units and group protections.
• Organizes, prepares and takes part in meetings with business units and reinsurance partners (broker and reinsurer)
• Set up and manage reinsurance treaties, handle the reinsurance process with supporting systems and practices
• Secure underwriting information (premiums, portfolio/risk profiles, claims, NatCat data in coordination with our Risk Assessment team)
• Analyze and review the data and prepare the underwriting information for the applicable lines of business and programs
• Develop and take care of relationships with business partners within and outside the Helvetia Group
• Negotiate treaty terms and conditions with assigned business units and third party reinsurers
• Account Handler for dedicated reinsurance contracts including administration and controlling of premium and claims accounting

What you'll bring to the role

• University degree, preferable in economics or law or apprenticeship /trainee in (re)insurance or any other relevant qualification in (re)insurance
• Experience in a similar position or as (Senior) Underwriter for reinsurance treaty business
• Fluent in and English, other languages are an asset. Ability to hold presentations to internal and external audience
• Advanced analytical quantitative, as well as decision-making skills
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Team player, able to cope with demanding situations and work with senior managers and key stakeholder within and outside Helvetia Baloise Group
