Barrington James is recruiting a Refrigeration Technician for Domat/Ems, Switzerland. You will service automated cold storage systems across Europe, with regular travel and on-site work at customer sites.

Based locally with a willingness to travel, you will install, repair, and maintain refrigeration equipment, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure compliance with EU F-Gas regulations while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifikationen

• Completed training as refrigeration systems technician, Meister level preferred.
• Experience with refrigerants and industrial service.
• Proficient in leak detection and brazing in hard-to-access locations.

Our client is a global leader in automated cold storage systems, developing and manufacturing advanced robotic solutions used by pharmaceutical companies and biobanks worldwide to store samples at temperatures as low as -80°C. Their technology plays a critical role in clinical research and drug development, keeping some of the world's most sensitive biological materials safely preserved.

We're looking for an experienced Refrigeration Technician to join their team, based locally in the Domat/Ems (or happy to commute) area with regular travel across Europe.

What you'll be doing:

• Carrying out repair and maintenance work at customer sites internationally, typically one to two weeks onsite at a time
• Coordinating and planning third party contractors, and evaluating their work against contracts and reports
• Supporting contract renewals with third parties in close collaboration with the back office
• Managing and maintaining the company's own refrigerant stock
• Creating and maintaining status overviews of refrigeration systems in the field
• Ensuring all systems are maintained in line with local regulations
• Handling and documenting customer complaints via the CSM system

What you'll bring:

• Completed training as a refrigeration systems technician, ideally to Meister level
• Certified and experienced in handling refrigerants, with a background in industrial refrigeration field service
• Confident handling complex tasks such as leak detection and brazing, including in hard to access locations
• Strong customer focus and a solution oriented approach to teamwork
• Knowledge of relevant European regulations, including the F-Gas Regulation (EU 517/2014)
• Willingness to travel internationally across Europe, with a valid Category B driving licence
