Zusammenfassung

Mase Consulting Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Maintenance Technician to service and support advanced automation equipment across Switzerland. You will predominantly work from a home office but travel to customer sites, and perform preventive maintenance, fault finding and calibration on high-value machinery.

The role requires 2+ years of service experience, English fluency and ideally German or French, willingness to travel and stay away from home, and a valid Swiss driving license.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in Industrial Automation, Robotics, or FMCG machinery is a plus.
• Must be fluent in English; German or French is an advantage.

About The Role

As a Service Engineer / Service Technician you will work from a home office and be responsible for:

• Operating in an 80% mechanical and 20% electrical role.
• Working within a service engineering team supporting FMCG manufacturers in Switzerland.
• Attending a low number of customer calls as each case can be extremely complicated and time consuming.
• On rare occasions operating as part of an installation team to complete new equipment installations, commissioning and user training.
• Supporting customers outside of Switzerland should an emergency occur requiring your support.
• Working to preventative maintenance and installation work which is often booked 2-3 months in advance, whilst also reacting to more pressing breakdowns and repairs.
• Working with the engineering planner to coordinate activities and movements.
• Conducting routine service and calibration work, alongside more reactive maintenance, including fault finding, problem resolution and repair.
• Completing service visit reports.

About You

The successful candidate will possess at least 2+ years of service engineering / technician experience, gained working on complex equipment, which could include but not limited to, Industrial Automation, Robotics, Scientific Equipment, Food Processing, Packaging Machinery, Process Equipment, Logistics Automation, Semiconductor Manufacturing, Metalworking Equipment, Robotic Welding, Robotic Spraying or other high value complex equipment.

Candidates must speak advance level English and ideally either German or French and be multiskilled with a mechanical focus. You must be comfortable with travel and nights away from home.

A degree level education is beneficial, but not essential, as is experience working on FMCG production machinery.

It is, however, essential you have a logical and methodical approach to finding faults and be comfortable spending time away from home.

A valid local driving license is essential, as is the right to work in Switzerland. My client doesn’t offer sponsorship.
