Job summary

Sika Zürich is seeking a motivated Project Leader for our R&D department in Adhesive Systems. You will bridge research, production, quality assurance, marketing and application engineering to steer innovative products and processes.

You will lead project teams, define work packages, manage timelines, and ensure knowledge transfer while collaborating with internal and external interfaces. English proficiency and German knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• Initial experience in R&D as a Junior Scientist, Product Developer, Project Leader, or similar; knowledge of adhesives or related industries is a plus.
• Strong project management skills and ability to handle priorities.

Responsibilities

• Independent development of products, technologies and processes and internal/external implementation.
• Lead project teams; defines and calls for work packages, ensures the transfer of know-how and coordination.
• Contact and collaboration with internal and external interface functions.
• Manages the expectations of the customer and stakeholder.
• Technical support of the products and technologies internally and among customers.
• Knows and maintains state of the art technology (e.g. competitive products, specialized literature, congresses, patents).
• Planning and documentation according to the process guidelines, presentations and vindication of the results/projects internally and externally.
• Patent­ing of new technologies and initiating proceeding.
