Job summary

Sika AG is seeking a motivated Project Leader for Elastic Sealants & Adhesives in its R&D department. You will interface between research, production, QA, marketing and application engineering to drive product and process development, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver technically robust solutions.

The role requires strong project management, problem-solving and collaboration skills, with English proficiency and good German.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
Initial R&D experience as Junior Scientist or Product Developer; adhesives or related industries a plus.
Strong project management skills and ability to manage tasks and priorities.
Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach.
Excellent collaboration across global teams.

Responsibilities

Independently develop products, technologies and manufacturing processes and implement internally and externally.
Lead project teams; define work packages, ensure transfer of know-how and coordination.
Coordinate with internal and external interface functions.
Manage customer and stakeholder expectations.
Provide technical support of products and technologies internally and for customers.
Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of technology (competitors, literature, patents).
Plan and document according to guidelines; present results internally and externally.
Patenting of new technologies and initiations of proceedings.
