Job summary

Sika in Switzerland’s Zürich area seeks a Project Leader for Elastic Sealants & Adhesives within the R&D department. You will lead product and process development, coordinate across production, QA, marketing and application engineering, and manage projects end-to-end.

Your background includes a bachelor’s or higher in chemistry or related field, plus R&D project leadership experience, strong PM skills, English proficiency and good German. IT proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Initial R&D experience as Junior Scientist, Product Developer or Project Leader with product/technology development exposure.
• Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Analytical mindset with solution-oriented approach.
• Fluent in English; good knowledge of German.
• Solid IT proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Independent development of products, technologies and manufacturing processes and implementation.
• Lead project teams, define work packages and ensure transfer of know-how.
• Collaborate with internal and external interface functions.
• Manage customer and stakeholder expectations.
• Provide technical support to products and technologies internally and to customers.
• Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge through literature, patents and congresses.
• Plan and document results according to process guidelines; present findings.

In our R&D department in the area of Adhesive Systems we are looking for a motivated and dedicated Project Leader. In this versatile position you are the interface between research, production, quality assurance, marketing and application engineering, fulfilling the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Independent development of products, technologies and their manufacturing processes as well as internal and external implementation
• Leading ofproject teams; defines and calls for work packages, ensures the transfer of know-how and coordination
• Contact and collaboration with internal and external interface functions
• Manages the expectations of the customer and stakeholder
• Technical support of the products and technologies internally and among customers
• Knows and maintains state of the art technology (e.g. competitive products, specialized literature, congresses, patents)
• Planning and documentation according to the processguidelines, presentations and vindication of the results/projects internally and externally
• Patenting of new technologies and initiating proceeding
• • Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience: Initial experiencein R&D as a Junior Scientist, Product Developer, Project Leader, or similar, with expertise in product or technology development; previous experience in adhesives or related industrieswith deep market and technology knowledge is a plus
  • Project Management: Strong understanding of project management principles andability to manage tasks and priorities
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach
  • Collaboration: Builds and maintains internal networks, fostering teamwork and leveraging global resources
  • Language Skills: Proficient in English; Good knowledge in German
  • Technical Skills: Solid IT proficiency
