Nestlé Product Technology Center for Coffee in Orbe, Switzerland, is offering an R&D Internship in Food Physics, Materials Science and Coffee Innovation. The hybrid role spans 6 months, starting February 2027 (flexible).

You will help implement inline measurement technology and explore how processing parameters affect freeze-dried coffee, collaborating across teams to gain hands-on experience. You’ll work on designing experimental plans, operating measurement equipment, and translating data into

Formación

• Current student or fresh graduate in chemical engineering, food science, materials science or a related field.
• Team player, curious, proactive and ready to learn how to operate specialized equipment safely.
• Strong planning, analytical and communication skills to turn complex data into clear conclusions.
• Fluent English; knowledge of French is an advantage.
• Demonstrating courage, collaboration, speed and continuous learning, while translating ideas into measurable impact and creating shared value.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborating with project, science, laboratory, pilot plant and technical workshop teams to advance coffee innovation
• Coordinating the installation and integration of measurement probes on an existing coffee production line
• Operating specialized measurement equipment and data acquisition systems to generate reliable insights
• Designing and delivering a structured experimental plan to evaluate the effects of coffee-processing parameters
• Analysing product and process data, drawing clear conclusions and presenting recommendations to the wider project team
