Job summary

Michael Page International (Schweiz) AG seeks a Quality Engineer based in Zürich to ensure and improve quality standards across complex projects. You will work with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, performing inspections, audits, and documentation control to support handovers and compliance.

The role requires a engineering degree and experience in QA/QC within construction or industrial environments, with strong English and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related disciplines).
• Experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering environments is preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain a strong quality culture across all project phases.
• Support the Project Quality Manager in implementing quality processes and standards.
• Ensure compliance with project-specific quality management systems and procedures.
• Provide training and guidance on quality requirements and digital tools.
• Investigate non-conformities and coordinate corrective actions.
• Conduct quality inspections, audits, and field assessments.
• Review and maintain quality documentation and records.
• Track supplier and subcontractor quality performance.
• Participate in project inspections, testing, and handover processes.
• Prepare and review quality plans and technical submissions.
• Produce quality reports and performance metrics for stakeholders.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring and continuously improving quality standards across complex construction and engineering projects, supporting all quality-related activities from project execution through to final handover. Working closely with project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors, you will conduct inspections and audits, manage quality documentation, and ensure compliance with technical specifications

Description

• Promote and maintain a strong quality culture with a \"Right First Time\" mindset across all project phases.

• Monitor and verify compliance with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), specifications, and project requirements.


• Review and maintain quality documentation, inspection records, and control registers.


• Track and assess supplier and subcontractor quality performance.


• Participate in project inspections, testing activities, witness points, and handover processes.


• Support the preparation and review of quality plans, method statements, and technical submissions.


• Produce quality reports and performance metrics for project stakeholders.

Profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related disciplines).


• Previous experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within construction, infrastructure, industrial, or engineering environments.


• Experience working on complex, multidisciplinary projects is highly desirable.


• Strong ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.


• Familiarity with quality management systems and digital document management platforms.


• Strong understanding of industry standards, codes, and quality assurance principles.


• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.


• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Fluent in English; is considered a strong advantage.


• Proficient in Microsoft Office and common project management/document control systems.
