Michael Page is seeking a seasoned Quality Manager for Zurich-based, large-scale construction projects. You will develop and drive project-specific quality strategies and lead the site quality team to ensure Right First Time delivery.

You will monitor key quality metrics, coordinate inspections and handovers, and collaborate with Construction, Engineering, HSE, Planning, and Commissioning to integrate quality throughout the project lifecycle. Fluency in English required.

• 10+ years in quality management on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proven leadership of quality teams on complex projects.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC processes, metrics, and reporting.

Job Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific quality strategies, procedures, and control systems.
• Lead and mentor the site quality team, fostering a strong culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Promote a "Right First Time" mindset across all project stakeholders.
• Establish, monitor, and report key quality metrics and performance indicators.
• Analyze quality trends, identify recurring issues, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Ensure quality management systems and project documentation remain accurate, accessible, and compliant.
• Coordinate inspections, testing activities, commissioning readiness, and project handovers.
• Collaborate with package managers and project teams to ensure quality requirements are integrated throughout the construction process.
• Support planning activities by proactively identifying risks, constraints, and improvement opportunities.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Construction, Engineering, HSE, Planning, and Commissioning.
• Contribute to Lean Construction and operational excellence initiatives across the project.
• Ensure the highest standards of workplace safety while promoting a 0-incident culture.

The Successful Applicant

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of experience within quality management on large-scale construction, engineering, industrial, data centre, or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record of successfully leading quality teams on complex projects.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, construction methodologies, commissioning activities, and project delivery.
• Experience developing quality systems, reporting frameworks, and performance metrics.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate teams and drive accountability.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance long-term objectives and day-to-day project delivery.
• Proficient in common project management, reporting, and document management tools.
• Fluent in English; additional European languages are considered an advantage.
• Hands-on, delivery-focused mindset with the willingness to go the extra mile in fast-paced project environments.

Nice to Have

• Professional certifications in Quality Management, Construction Management, or Project Management.
• Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher).
• PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification.
• Membership of relevant professional engineering or quality organizations.
