Exyte in Basel is seeking a Proposal Manager (m/f/d) to ensure the technical and commercial excellence of our proposals. Acting as a central interface between Sales, Engineering and other stakeholders, you will ensure proposals are accurate, competitive, and fully aligned with customer requirements.

You will lead and coordinate proposal teams, manage resources, and develop templates and tools to improve consistency and quality across all tenders.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field.
• Several years of professional experience in proposal management, engineering, or project-driven environments.
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams within a matrix organization.
• Strong ability to prioritize and perform in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Lead and coordinate the preparation of technical and commercial proposals, including proposal presentations.
• Take overall responsibility for the quality of submitted proposals and all supporting documentation.
• Coordinate proposal teams composed of colleagues from various disciplines, tailored to each specific opportunity.
• Develop and maintain proposal templates, standard proposal content, presentations, and tools to improve consistency and standardization.
• Manage and coordinate engineering resources assigned to proposal activities.
• Support the sales team by contributing to technical cost estimates and providing subject matter expertise.
• Participate in risk assessment processes for incoming tenders and requests for proposal.
• Draft, review, and validate proposal documentation to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance with standards.
• Identify, evaluate, and coordinate subcontractors when required.
• Organize resource planning and collaborate with HR, Engineering, and Operations to address resource needs.
• Serve as the interface between the estimating team and project execution teams for handover of awarded projects.
• Organize and facilitate lessons learned sessions for unsuccessful bids to drive continuous improvement.

Show your expertise

• Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field (e.g., Pharmaceutical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering)
• Strong understanding of Exyte's core business and experience with proposal and tendering processes
• Several years of professional experience in proposal management, engineering, or project-driven environments
• Proven experience leading cross-functional teams within a matrix organization
• Strong ability to prioritize and perform effectively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
