Exyte is looking for an Engineering Manager in Basel, Switzerland, to lead complex projects in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering and extensive experience (5+ years) in delivering large-scale projects. You must exhibit strong leadership and communication skills and be fluent in both German and English.

Take on a key leadership role in delivering complex projects for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. As an Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the technical execution of projects across all phases – from concept design through to detailed design and implementation.
You will lead multidisciplinary teams and ensure the successful delivery of large-scale projects, such as the construction or modernization of production facilities, laboratories, or entire manufacturing plants.

• Lead and coordinate interdisciplinary engineering teams across all project phases
• Act as the technical lead alongside the Project Manager
• Plan and monitor overall project progress throughout execution
• Ensure high-quality technical delivery in line with client, regulatory, and internal standards
• Manage technical project reporting to clients and senior stakeholders
• Oversee cross-discipline engineering activities and facilitate design reviews with clients, suppliers, and partners
• Lead technical coordination meetings and decision-making processes
• Manage scope and change control processes
• Coordinate internal and external approval procedures
• Coach and support project team members

Show your expertise

• Degree in Engineering (e.g. Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Process Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or Architecture)
• Extensive professional experience (typically 5+ years) in a comparable role, including delivery of large-scale projects
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide and develop multidisciplinary teams
• Structured, solution-oriented working style with a hands-on mentality
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High level of customer orientation and ability to perform under pressure
• Confident, proactive personality with strong decision-making capabilities
• Fluency in German and English
