• Leading, developing and managing a team of project managers supporting customer products throughout their entire product lifecycle
• Evaluation of new products and product changes in cooperation with the specialist departments
• Evaluation and finalization of quotations for new products, product modifications, and new customers
• Leading and mentoring project managers responsible for technology transfer projects, technical projects, capital investment projects, product introductions and product changes at the manufacturing site in Hettlingen
• Ensuring GMP-compliant execution and documentation of project activities
• Owning and managing the project portfolio, including prioritization, governance, resource allocation, project performance, risk management and escalation management
• Ensuring successful delivery of the project portfolio with respect to scope, timeline, cost, quality, resource utilization and stakeholder satisfaction

Tasks

Leading and developing a team of project managers supporting customer products throughout their entire product lifecycle

• Lead, coach, mentor and develop project managers
• Conduct performance evaluations and development discussions
• Support recruitment, onboarding and retention of project management personnel
• Ensure succession planning and talent development within the Project Management department
• Ensure project managers effectively support customer products throughout their lifecycle

Evaluation of new products and product changes in cooperation with the specialist departments

• Preparation of GAP analysis/feasibility analysis of potential new products
• Obtaining relevant information from specialist departments for CAP analysis/feasibility studies
• Clarification with HSE regarding the feasibility of the product
• Creation of the list of activities for implementing the product/product change
• Creation of an internal business case

Oversight of technology transfer projects, technical projects, capital investment projects, product introductions and product changes at the manufacturing site in Hettlingen

• Ensure creation and maintenance of project plans and project teams
• Ensure coordination of project activities with the specialist departments
• Lead project portfolio and project review meetings
• Ensure adequate resource allocation across the project portfolio
• Monitor project performance against agreed objectives, timelines, budgets and deliverables
• Ensure effective risk management and escalation management across the project portfolio
• Lead and mentor project managers to ensure successful project execution
• Establish and maintain project management standards, governance processes and reporting structures

GMP-compliant documentation of project activities

• Ensure creation and updating of project management documentation in accordance with the applicable guidelines
• Support in creating master batch records
• Support protocol and report creation for technical tests and activities

Project portfolio management and reporting to management and customers

• Proactive reporting in the event of significant deviations from project plans or critical events during the product lifecycle
• Reporting on project portfolio status and project status at specified intervale
• Regular reporting to the Leadership Team regarding project performance, strategic risks, resource requirements and escalation topics
• Prioritization of projects in alignment with business objectives and site capacity
• Resolution and escalation of project resource conflicts

Education/expertise

Experience in people management and team development

Experience managing complex project portfolios within the pharmaceutical industry

Experience in technology transfer, technical projects and capital projects
