Job summary

Sika, a global specialty chemicals company, seeks a Strategic Projects Associate to join the Strategy Team in Zurich. The role offers high visibility on regional projects and direct exposure to senior stakeholders and Group Management.

You will design and deliver solutions to drive growth and efficiency, gathering insights, analyzing data, and supporting strategic planning and hands-on execution with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or similar.
• Min. 3–4 years of experience with strategic projects and data analysis at a top consulting company.
• Experience with analysis, process & concept design and implementation phases in a workstream lead role.
• Strong ability to connect the dots and create compelling stories for top management.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with translating data insights into action.
• High autonomy with an entrepreneurial mindset and can-do attitude.
• Positive, energetic mindset with innovative ideas.
• Proficiency in Excel and Office, knowledge of Tableau/BI is a plus.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
• Based in Zurich with willingness for occasional international travel.

Responsibilities

• Interpret data, analyse results and define actions with Business, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations stakeholders to solve key business challenges.
• Identify new opportunities provided by data to generate insights for the business and support growth.
• Support countries/areas to review strategic business plans and translate into operations footprints via workshops, drumbeats and storytelling guidance.
• Analyse the impact of M&A activity on country masterplans and assist local teams during integration processes.
• Improve current processes and lead roll-out of new solutions across country organizations.
• Draft presentations and data visualizations for top-management leveraging insights from data analysis/workshops/researches.
• Create strong link with cross-functional teams to introduce and expand innovative solutions.

Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Projects Associate to join our Strategy Team. This role offers high-visibility, versatile regional projects and direct exposure to senior stakeholders and Sika Group Management. We’re looking for someone with a can-do attitudeand willing to go the extra mile.

In this role you will design and deliver solutions that drive growth and efficiency, working closely with cross-functional teams to gather insights, analyze data, and support both strategic planning and hands-on execution.

• Interpret data, analyse results and define actions with Business, Marketing, Supply Chain and Operations stakeholders to solve key business challenges
• Identify new opportunities provided by available data to generate valuable insights for the business and support growth
• Actively support countries / areas to review their strategic business plans and support translation into operations footprints through regular project drumbeats, dedicated workshops, as well as storytelling guidance and presentation drafting
• Play a key role in analysing the impact of M&A activities on country masterplans and support local teams during the integration processes
• Improve current and develop new processes and solutions and lead their roll-out across country organizations
• Support in drafting presentations and data visualizations for country / area / region top-management leveraging insights identified through data analysis / workshops / other researches
• Create strong link with cross-functional teams to introduce and expand innovative solutions

Qualifications

Your Expertise

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or similar
• Min. 3-4 years of experience with strategic projectsand data analysis at a top consulting company
• Proven experience with analysis, process & concept design as wellasimplementationphases of the project in a workstream lead position
• Strong ability to connect the dots and create compelling stories suitable for the top management team
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with ability of translating data insights into actionable plans
• High autonomy combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and a can-do attitude
• Positive and energetic spirit that brings innovative ideas that engage people around you
• Proficiency in Excel and Office suite, knowledge of data visualization software (e.g. Tableau, BI) is a plus
• Fluency in English (written and spoken), German is a plus
• Based in Zurich but flexible for occasional international travels
