Your Role

You will take ownership of procurement and pricing activities across sea freight, ensuring competitive rates, secured capacity, sustainable margin delivery, and strong service reliability. You will work closely with Sales, Operations, Product, Finance, and network teams, translating market developments into clear commercial guidance and practical pricing solutions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead negotiations with shipping lines, co-loaders, and key partners to secure competitive rates, priority capacity, and commercially sustainable conditions.
  • Build and maintain strong carrier relationships at local and regional level, acting as an escalation point for rate, space, and service-performance topics.
  • Oversee pricing data consolidation, validation, governance, and rate accuracy across local, regional, and network sources.
  • Support key customer tenders, spot quotations, and strategic bids with competitive, compliant, and margin-protective solutions.
  • Provide regular market updates, trend analysis, and forecasts covering rates, capacity, blank sailings, port congestion, carrier strategy, and service reliability.
  • Benchmark pricing and service levels against market conditions and competitor activity to support informed commercial decisions.
  • Monitor win/loss feedback, customer trends, quote response time, margin evolution, and carrier performance to continuously improve competitiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes, pricing tools, reporting standards, and internal communication routines.
  • Manage, coach, and build the procurement and pricing team, promoting a disciplined pricing culture that protects profitability while supporting growth.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sea freight procurement, carrier management, pricing, or ocean product management; freight forwarding experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ocean freight procurement, trade-lane dynamics, carrier networks, tender management, and forwarding operations.
  • Proven negotiation capability, sound commercial judgement, and the ability to protect margin while supporting sales growth.
  • Data-driven and detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to convert market information into clear pricing guidance.
