Job summary

Atlantic Gate Ltd. in Geneva is seeking an experienced Procurement & Pricing Manager to lead sea freight procurement and pricing across the network. You will drive competitive rates, secure capacity, and deliver sustainable margins while coordinating with Sales, Operations, Product, and Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of sea freight procurement, carrier management, pricing, or ocean product management; forwarding experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ocean freight procurement, trade-lane dynamics, carrier networks, tender management, and forwarding operations.
• Proven negotiation capability and ability to protect margin while supporting sales growth.
• Data-driven, detail-oriented; convert market information into pricing guidance.
• Advanced Excel; experience with TMS, pricing tools, BI/reporting platforms, or rate-management systems is a plus.
• Knowledge of AI tools in procurement and pricing is an advantage.
• Fluent English; French/German/Italian as advantage.
• Collaborative, resilient, pragmatic; sound decisions in volatile markets.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement procurement and pricing strategies by carrier and trade lane.
• Lead negotiations with shipping lines and key partners to secure rates and capacity.
• Build carrier relationships and act as escalation point for rate, space, and service topics.
• Oversee pricing data consolidation, validation, and rate accuracy across sources.
• Support key tenders, spot quotations, and strategic bids with margin protection.
• Provide market updates, trend analysis, and forecasts on rates and capacity.
• Benchmark pricing against market conditions and competitor activity.
• Monitor win/loss feedback, quote response time, and margin evolution.
• Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and pricing tools.
• Manage, coach, and build the procurement and pricing team.
