Job summary

MEDLOG Transport & Logistics in Geneva seeks a Truck Fleet Supervisor to lead sustainable and profitable trucking operations worldwide, align with global strategy, and drive optimization across networks.

You will collaborate with Area Managers and the M&A Team to identify growth opportunities, optimize road transport programs, and ensure that quality and cost targets are met while mentoring local fleet managers.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead and connect effectively within a matrix organization.
• Leadership and operational experience in logistics (min. 10 years).
• Knowledge of transport management systems.
• Strong strategic skills with ability to implement and execute.
• Solid industry and technological knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral English; French or other languages are a plus.
• Ability to connect with people inside and outside the company.
• Basic knowledge in mechanical engineering is a plus.
• Highly organized with a problem-solving mindset.

THE POSITION

As Truck Fleet Supervisor you will be responsible for the sustainable and profitable development of MEDLOG’S trucking operations worldwide, acting as the driving force behind the trucking strategy and operations, closely cooperating with the Area Managers and the M&A Team to explore and develop opportunities for further growth, optimizing road transport programs and ensuring that both quality and cost targets are met, and supporting and guiding the local fleet managers to optimize the routing of the fleet, deploying best-in-class practices and challenging the status quo to ensure maximum utilization of the fleet, and on time planning for truck investment and replacement.

YOUR IMPACT

As Truck Fleet Supervisor you will be:

• Responsible for the sustainable and profitable development of MEDLOG’S trucking operations worldwide.
• Driving force behind the trucking strategy and operations.
• Closely cooperate with the Area Managers and the M&A Team to explore and develop opportunities for further growth.
• Optimizing road transport programs and ensuring that both quality and cost targets are met.
• Supporting and guide the local fleet managers to optimize the routing of the fleet, deploying best-in-class practices and challenging the status quo; to ensure maximum utilization of the fleet, and on time planning for truck investment and replacement.

YOUR BACKGROUND

• Ability to lead and connect effectively within a matrix organization.
• Leadership and operational experience, minimum 10 years, preferably with logistics providers with both own trucks and subcontractors.
• Knowledge of transport management systems.
• Strong strategic skills with the ability to implement and execute.
• Solid industry and technological knowledge.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English is a must, French and any other foreign language advantageous.
• To easily connect with people inside and outside of the company.
• Basic knowledge in mechanical engineering is a plus.
• Highly organized, with a problem-solving mindset and the drive to go above and beyond to find solutions.
