Job summary

Compass Group PLC in Switzerland seeks a procurement professional to strengthen our Non-Food supplier network and implement strategic purchasing initiatives. You will manage relationships, negotiate contracts, and tailor the national strategy to the French-speaking Swiss market across hospitality and facility management sectors.

You will lead cost optimization, supplier performance reviews and cross-functional collaboration with operational teams, while aiming for harmonisation and high quality

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with national Non-Food suppliers: packaging and disposable materials, cleaning products, waste management, facility management, catering equipment, coffee machines, vending machines and coffee.
• Define and implement a category purchasing strategy, proposing innovative, competitive solutions adapted to the needs of the establishments.
• Negotiate contracts, prices and commercial terms to optimise costs, quality and supplier services.
• Adapt the national purchasing strategy to the specificities of the French-speaking Swiss market, while ensuring product harmonisation and compliance with group standards.
• Support operational teams in their projects, equipment needs and optimisation of their purchases.
• Analyse expenses, market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for savings and continuous improvement.

Your profile

• University degree or equivalent training in business management, management, hotel management or a similar field.
• Several years of experience in a comparable role, notably in sales, business development or key account management, necessarily in one of the hospitality or Facility Management sectors.
• Strong professional network in French-speaking Switzerland or ability to develop it quickly.
• Passion for customer relations and a strong liking for interaction and presence in the field.
• Proven management experience and genuine motivation to support team development.
• Entrepreneurial spirit, initiative and excellent negotiation and commercial closing skills.
• Excellent command of French, ideally as a native language, as well as a very good level of German and English.
