Job summary

Barry Callebaut Manufacturing Iberica SA in Zurich is seeking a temporary Pricing Analyst to cover maternity leave for 6 months. You will develop competitive price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market data, and stakeholder input.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in Finance/Commercial/Pricing, a Bachelor's in relevant field, strong Excel and SAP experience, and the ability to form strong relationships with sales teams while driving profitability.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a Finance, Commercial or Pricing role.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, Business Administration or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and can-do attitude.
• Enthusiastic team member with a willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing business demands and priorities.
• Customer oriented and strategically and conceptually thinking.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (lookup, index-match, pivot tables, etc.).
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment and with SAP.
• Quick learning due to reduced onboarding period.

Responsibilities

• Create competitive price proposals for the sales team, analyzing historic price and margin levels to drive profitable growth for your business unit.
• Present proposals to sales, guide them by utilizing market and internal data to validate and justify proposals.
• Book sales contracts upon agreement from customers to lock in business.
• Take pricing ownership of assigned accounts in an independent and proactive way.
• Proactively manage the contracts for your account portfolio in collaboration with sales and Customer Service.
• Utilize different pricing models, including commodity market coverage, cost & margin analysis and proactive data management.
• Develop and manage effective and analytic reporting tools to support the business unit and the organization's needs.
• Understand the commodity market fundamentals and gather in-depth knowledge on the chocolate and cocoa manufacturing process in order to improve the pricing process.
• Actively support local, regional & global pricing projects & initiatives.
• Develop direct customer relationship and support commercial negotiations.
• Support wider pricing projects and develop new pricing models.
• Take on deputy duties from the line manager.

About the role

As a temporary Pricing analyst, you will cover the responsibilities of our colleague who will be on maternity leave. In the role you develop competitive, accurate price proposals for the sales team using pricing models, market intelligence, and additional input from relevant stakeholders.
