Descrizione del lavoro

CERN's Geodetic Metrology Group seeks a Mechanical Technician to support the FRAS project. You will contribute to procurement, assembly, testing, installation and commissioning of precision FRAS mechanical parts within a multidisciplinary team.

You will work onsite, in a facility environment and in the LHC tunnel, applying metrology know-how and documenting procedures for validation and commissioning activities. Fluency in English or French is required, with a plan to learn the other language.

Competenze

Experience in mechanics and electromechanical systems is required.
Experience in assembly, testing and commissioning of mechanical/electromechanical systems is needed.
Experience in writing technical documentation would be advantageous.

Mansioni

Support the procurement of FRAS mechanical and electromechanical components, including QA and acceptance activities.
Assemble and test FRAS components, initially in the workshop and then in the LHC tunnel.
Prepare assembly, installation and validation documentation, including reports and procedure updates.
