CERN is seeking a Mechanical Technician for the Geodetic Metrology Group to support the FRAS system, aligning accelerator components with micrometric precision using high-precision sensors and actuators. The role focuses on procurement, assembly, testing and commissioning of FRAS mechanical and electromechanical parts in a high-precision environment.

Qualifikationen

• Mechatronics or mechanics background with hands-on experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• English or French fluency, with willingness to learn the other language.
• Two years of post-graduation experience; higher degrees not required.

Aufgaben

• Procurement support for FRAS components, QA and acceptance.
• Assemble and test FRAS parts in workshop and LHC tunnel.
• Prepare assembly, installation and validation documentation.
• Participate in commissioning from components to full FRAS installation.
