Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Service Engineer Power (m/f/d) to join our team in Switzerland, in the Zürich region. You will perform maintenance, commissioning and service activities for UPS and battery systems at customer sites, ensuring high availability.

The role requires travel within the supervised region, occasional overnight stays, and a hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset. Fluent German and English are required, and a valid B category driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade qualification completed and able to work with battery systems.
• Willingness to travel within the region, possibly overnight.
• Proactive, hands-on mindset with entrepreneurial thinking.
• Valid driver's license category B.
• Fluent in German and English.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and commissioning of UPS / 48V systems and battery systems at the customer's site
• Testing of system parameters and processes, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, and repair of malfunctions
• Documentation and realization of the assignments on time and on target
• Usage of all necessary tools within the VERTIV policies
• Emergency Standby within the region
