Job summary

Akkodis, part of The Adecco Group, is a global leader in engineering and IT services. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for Power Electronics Converters in Zürich to define electrical schematics, select components, and ensure compliance with technical standards and project requirements.

You will design schematics with EPLAN, specify LV components, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and prepare BOMs and design notes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
3 to 5 years of electrical design experience for power electronics or industrial applications.
Advanced knowledge of EPLAN software for schematic design.
Strong knowledge of low-voltage components and distribution systems.
Proficient in cable sizing and load calculations.
Experience with CAD tools and technical documentation practices.
Understanding of power electronics and AC/DC converters is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Design electrical schematics for power electronics converters using EPLAN.
Select and specify LV breakers, power supplies, cables, protective devices.
Define electrical architectures ensuring safety and compliance.
Coordinate with Power Electronics, Mechanical, Control HW/SW teams to integrate designs.
Create BOMs and design documentation.
Perform electrical calculations and performance analyses for LV and auxiliary systems.
Ensure adherence to UL, IEC standards and customer requirements.
Support validation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Participate in design reviews and continuous improvement.
