Job summary

ABB seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in Power Electronics and Converter Technology. You will develop, design, and optimize advanced electrical systems, supporting projects from concept to commissioning in a highly industrialized environment.

You will collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical and systems teams to deliver innovative power conversion and energy solutions. Deutsch/English language options are advantageous in an international setting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Several years of industrial electrical engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of power electronics and converter technology.
Experience with electrical schematics and control cabinets.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical schematics for power electronics and converter systems using EPLAN.
Design electrical system architectures ensuring safety and standards compliance.
Select and specify components such as switches, relays, protective devices, and interfaces.
Perform cable sizing, load calculations, and circuit analysis.
Review designs and support testing, validation, and commissioning.
Prepare BOMs, technical reports, and engineering documentation.
