SUPSI invites applications for a PostDoc Researcher in the area of intelligent control of networked systems, focusing on semantic world models for safe, explainable Physical AI, at the IDSIA USI-SUPSI in Lugano. The position is 100% employment for two years with potential extension.

Responsibilities include collaborating on European and industrial projects, conducting innovative research, supervising PhD candidates, publishing results, and supporting project proposals with industry partners.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with RDF, SPARQL, OWL.
• Proven publication record in relevant research areas.
• Experience supervising PhD candidates and students.
• Experience preparing and submitting competitive project proposals (e.g., EU programs).

Aufgaben

• Collaborate on European and industrial projects by developing semantic reasoning and knowledge representation techniques for industrial processes and robotics.
• Conduct innovative research in intelligent control of networked systems and semantic world models.
• Design and implement experiments to explore novel approaches.
• Co-supervise PhD candidates and students.
• Support research proposals and contribute to publications in international venues.
