Empa, a leading Swiss research institution, seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to advance organic light-emitting devices and related optoelectronic materials. The role focuses on fabrication, optimization, and characterization of NIR-emitting OLEDs, with interdisciplinary collaboration across theory, chemistry, and nanophotonics.

The candidate should hold a PhD in physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or chemistry and bring hands-on device fabrication experience.

Qualifikationen

• PhD in Physics, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related field.
• Strong background in OLEDs, organic electronics, optoelectronics, or photonics.
• Hands-on experience with fabrication and characterization of thin-film optoelectronic devices.
• Experience with NIR-emitting devices and/or plasmonics/nanophotonics is highly desirable.

Aufgaben

• Fabrication, optimization, and characterization of NIR-emitting OLED devices.
• Close collaboration and active scientific exchange with project partners.
• Analysis, interpretation, and documentation of experimental results.
• Preparation and publication of scientific articles in peer‑reviewed journals.
• Presentation of research results at international conferences and scientific meetings.
