Empa, a leading Swiss research institution, seeks a Postdoctoral Researcher to advance organic light-emitting devices and related optoelectronic materials. The role focuses on fabrication, optimization, and characterization of NIR-emitting OLEDs, with interdisciplinary collaboration across theory, chemistry, and nanophotonics.
The candidate should hold a PhD in physics, materials science, electrical engineering, or chemistry and bring hands-on device fabrication experience.

Empa is a research institution of the ETH Domain. You will join an interdisciplinary SNSF Sinergia research project involving three Swiss partner institutions. The project aims to explore plasmonic enhancement of near‑infrared (NIR) emitting organic light‑emitting devices (OLEDs) and to advance the understanding and performance of next‑generation NIR optoelectronic will become part of a strong and highly interdisciplinary research environment, bringing together expertise in theory, nanoparticle science, OLED technology, and organic chemistry. You will work closely with two ongoing PhD projects focusing on OLED science and chemical synthesis, providing an excellent opportunity for scientific exchange and collaboration across disciplines.
We offer a fully funded 2 year post‑doctoral position at Empa to conduct cutting‑edge research in an inderdisciplinary field of optoelectronics.
