Zusammenfassung

ETH Zurich's Optical Nanomaterial Laboratory seeks a doctoral researcher in mid-infrared integrated photonics and optical sensing. The project combines design, simulation, fabrication in the cleanroom, and experimental characterization of photonic devices.

The position is fully funded for four years, based in Zurich, with access to advanced facilities, and opportunities to publish and present at international conferences.

Qualifikationen

• Master's degree in physics, electrical engineering, photonics, materials science, or related field.
• Experience with micro- and nanofabrication and cleanroom work is advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Develop numerical models, design photonic layouts and contribute to micro- and nanofabrication processes in the cleanroom.
• Perform optical and electrical measurements to evaluate device performance and MIR characterization.
