Job summary

ALTEN seeks a PMO Lead to design and implement a scalable PMO operating model, driving governance, delivery excellence, and strategic alignment across multiple functions. This hands-on role establishes frameworks, processes, and tools to support data-driven decisions in a complex environment.

Responsibilities include defining operating models and Ways of Working, leading project governance, implementing RAID and KPIs, and developing reporting architecture with cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• 10+ years in PMO, Portfolio/Program Management, or Transformation with experience in building PMO functions.
• Experience in Life Sciences, Pharma, Biotech, FMCG, Manufacturing, Chemicals, or Engineering.
• Expertise in governance, project controls (RAID, change/financial), KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Fluent English (German is a plus).
• Hands-on with PMO tools (MS Project, Jira, Power BI, SAP PPM).

Responsibilities

• Define operating model, governance, roles, and Ways of Working; assess maturity and roadmap implementation.
• Lead planning, prioritization, and governance of projects; ensure visibility of risks, resources, and dependencies.
• Implement RAID, financial governance, KPIs, and executive dashboards for portfolio tracking.
• Develop reporting architecture, data governance, and performance dashboards to enable transparency.
• Assess PMO capabilities, define future-state setup, and align with business objectives.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance to integrate portfolio decisions.
