Thomson Reuters is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a Platform Engineering team that builds and operates core backend systems powering the AI agent platform. You will own the team’s technical output and growth, while staying close to architecture decisions and roadmap execution.

You will guide backend design for scalable microservices, manage cloud infrastructure with IaC, and drive CI/CD improvements to enable fast, reliable releases across product teams. Hybrid work model offered.

Qualifikationen

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience including leadership or people management.
• Experience leading a team with 1:1s, performance reviews, and hiring while remaining credible at code/architecture.
• Strong proficiency in Python or another backend language with distributed systems and cloud-native development.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, API design, and AWS; container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS).
• Experience with CI/CD, progressive and safe delivery patterns, and release engineering.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code practices and observability tooling (OpenTelemetry, Datadog).
• Experience with AI infrastructure integration is a strong plus.

• Lead people-management for a team of platform engineers including hiring, performance reviews, and career development.
• Set team technical strategy and roadmap in partnership with leadership.
• Guide design and delivery of backend/platform services powering AI agent workflows.
• Evolve CI/CD and progressive-delivery infrastructure for safe, continuous deployment.
• Own cloud infrastructure provisioning and IaC practices using AWS and Kubernetes.
• Promote scalable, reliable backend architecture across microservices and events.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives with product, AI, and infra teams; de-risk multi-system projects.
• Improve engineering practices: testing, observability, and on-call reliability.
