Prime21 AG in Switzerland is looking for a skilled platform engineer to design and operate cloud-native infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes. In this role, you will ensure the performance and scalability of services, enhance monitoring, and support development teams throughout the application lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with cloud-native technologies, a good grasp of networking, and is familiar with automation tools like Ansible and Terraform. The position offers a flexible work model and focuses on impactful platform engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• You design, build, operate, and continuously improve Kubernetes environments.
• You ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of platform and application services.
• You enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting, for example Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack.
• You collaborate closely with infrastructure and network teams on virtualization and storage solutions.
• You administer core platform services such as identity management, DNS, and related components.
• You manage and optimize databases and messaging systems.
• You support development teams in deploying and operating applications across the full lifecycle.
• You drive automation and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.

Qualifications

• Strong experience with cloud-native technologies and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, for example Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic Stack.
• Experience in Linux system administration, preferably Debian-based systems.
• Good understanding of networking, TCP/IP, firewalls, troubleshooting.
• Experience with virtualization and storage technologies.
• Hands‑on experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code, for example Ansible, Terraform.
• Familiar with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Structured, solution‑oriented working style and strong team spirit.
• Fluent in English or German.
