Zusammenfassung

Nicoll Curtin is seeking a Platform Engineer with a DevOps mindset to build and operate a mission-critical messaging platform on self-managed infrastructure.

You will own Kubernetes clusters, drive automation, and ensure reliability and performance through observability with Prometheus and Grafana, plus CI/CD workflows with GitLab, Argo CD, Helm, and Git.

Qualifikationen

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies.
• Linux administration expertise.
• Hands-on with Prometheus and/or Grafana.
• Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization, and storage tech (Proxmox, Ceph, ZFS).
• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code: Ansible and Terraform.
• CI/CD and GitOps experience.

Responsibilities

Kubernetes & Platform Engineering

• Own the complete lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, including architecture, deployment, configuration, upgrades, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance through proactive improvements and automation.
• Drive observability initiatives using Prometheus, Grafana, and Alerta.

Infrastructure & Operations

• Proxmox virtualisation environments
• Debian Linux systems
• Network infrastructure and firewalls
• Ceph and ZFS storage platforms
• Administer core infrastructure services such as DNS, identity management, and related platform services.

DevOps & Automation

• Build and improve Infrastructure as Code and automation solutions using Ansible and Terraform
• Support CI/CD processes using GitLab, Argo CD, Helm, and Git.

Requirements

• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies
• Linux administration expertise
• Hands-on experience with: Prometheus and/or Grafana
• Solid knowledge of: Networking (TCP/IP, firewalls, network troubleshooting) and Virtualisation and storage technologies (Proxmox, Ceph, ZFS)
• Automation and Infrastructure-as-Code capabilities: Ansible and Terraform
• CI/CD and GitOps experience
