Swisscom is seeking a DevOps Engineer to own platform operations for the Mobile Core. You will build and automate services, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance in Linux environments.

You will implement Kubernetes-based platforms, design declarative automation with IaC (Ansible, Python, Go), and collaborate across teams and vendors to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Computer Science (University, ETH, University of Applied Sciences) or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience operating in Linux-based platforms and services.
• Advanced proficiency in Kubernetes; CKA is an advantage.
• Core understanding of networking concepts (IP, DNS, routing and switching).
• Ability to design declarative automation based on IaC tools (such as Ansible) and custom software (Python, Go).
• Strong sense of ownership and a solution-oriented mindset.

As a DevOps Engineer, you take ownership of platform operations while actively contributing to the evolution of our services. Together with your team, you build innovative solutions, automate processes and ensure high service quality, reliability and scalability. Operate, automate and continuously evolve the Swisscom Mobile Core platform. Design and implement modern platform solutions based on Kubernetes, GitOps and CI/CD. Troubleshoot complex issues, implement sustainable solutions and enhance system resilience. Drive automation and continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce operational overhead. Foster strong collaboration between internal cross‑functional teams and external vendors.

Skills
