ETH Zurich's CMR group invites applications for a Doctoral Position in Lower-Field Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Zurich. You will work on MR pulse sequence design, image reconstruction, and data inference to advance time-resolved heart imaging.

The role includes simulations, experimental measurements on volunteers, and collaboration with clinical partners to develop digital twins and assess diagnostic value of low-field CMR imaging. Master’s in a relevant field is required.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in EE/BME/CS/Physics with top grades.
• Strong interest in medical imaging physics and signal processing.
• Excellent programming skills in C, MATLAB/Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch; both theory and practice welcomed.
• Ability to think critically, communicate well, and work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Design MR pulse sequences and image reconstruction methods.
• Perform data inference and fusion using physics-informed ML approaches.
• Carry out simulations and measurements on volunteers; work with clinical partners.
