Teoxane SA in Genève (Geneva), Switzerland, seeks a Patent Engineer Intern for a 6‑month period starting February 2027. The role supports patent landscaping, prior art searches, and drafting activities within R&D teams.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a Master’s in Healthcare/Life Sciences (or related field) with CEIPI patent law training or equivalent. Fluent in French and English; work location is 1203 Genève (GE).

Formación

• Master's degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Chemistry or Biology.
• Patent law training (CEIPI or equivalent) completed or in progress.
• Experience with patent databases (Espacenet, Orbit, PatSnap) is an asset.
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, rigour and confidentiality.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct patent landscape analyses and report to the R&D teams.
• Support the preparation of patent applications: prior art searches and drafting.
• Support the competitive patent watch.
• Prepare first drafts of responses to official actions and support opposition proceedings.
• Contribute to freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.

Contract: 6 months (start date February 2027)

Main activities

• Conduct patent landscape analyses and report to the R&D teams,
• Support the preparation of patent applications: prior art searches and drafting,
• Support the competitive patent watch,
• Prepare first drafts of responses to official actions and support opposition proceedings,
• Contribute to freedom-to-operate (FTO) analyses.

Your profile

• Completed or ongoing Master's degree in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Patent law training (CEIPI “brevets d’invention” or equivalent) ongoing, planned or completed,
• First exposure to patent databases (Espacenet, Orbit, Patsnap…) is an asset,
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills, rigour and strict confidentiality,
• Fluent in French and English.
