Job summary

Albedis SA seeks a Management Company Risk Specialist (Asset Management) in Basel to strengthen its governance and oversight framework. You will enhance ICS, monitor risks, and drive data-driven improvements across fund and management company processes.

The role demands hands-on experience in risk management, control testing and process automation, with strong data analysis skills and English language proficiency. German is a plus; Swiss work permit is required.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Mathematics, Data Analytics or related field.
• Several years of professional experience within asset management or fund industry.
• Experience in risk management, internal controls, oversight functions or audit in asset management.
• CFA/FRM or similar risk-focused certifications are advantageous.
• Exposure to Swiss/Luxembourg fund structures and regulatory frameworks is a plus.
• Strong governance, oversight and control framework understanding.
• Hands-on data analysis, reporting and process automation.
• Excellent English; German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance the Internal Control System (ICS) within a regulated asset management environment.
• Monitor and assess the effectiveness of key controls across fund, management company and operational processes.
• Support and coordinate Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) and remediation measures.
• Monitor KRIs and oversee operational and business risks.
• Prepare risk and management reporting for senior management and governance bodies.
• Contribute to the development of the operational risk framework, incident management and risk assessments.
• Support fund oversight activities and monitoring of fund-related risks.
• Assist Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities and testing.
• Design and implement automated controls and monitoring tools.
• Apply data analysis and automation techniques for risk monitoring and reporting.
• Collaborate across Risk, Compliance, Operations and Fund Management.
