Moffat County School District RE-1 is seeking a Nutrition Services Assistant to handle food preparation, cashiering, inventory, and HACCP documentation for the district’s school meal program. The role supports food service operations, trains as needed, and ensures compliance with safety and nutritional standards.
Responsibilities include meal prep, line service, POS transactions, and maintaining cleanliness and organization.
Job Title: Food Service, Nutrition Assistant Reports to: Food Service Director Location: MoffatCounty School Food Services Date of Availability: 2026-2027School year Date Closing: Open Until Filled Job Summary: The Nutrition Services Assistant is responsible for food preparation, cooking, cashiering, paperwork, following retail food establishment/HACCP, requesting food items from the Nutrition Services Department, ordering/inventorying, putting away food orders, serving food, restocking lines, and clean-up after lunch. Attend trainings. Develops and promotes good community relations among various community members and district clientele. Salary: Classified Salary Schedule –Range is $17.68- $27.40per hour.
FTE: 16 hours a week
Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience supervising children is preferred but not required.
