Novartis is seeking a Therapeutic Area Head in Biomarker Development within Translational Medicine in Basel. The role leads disease biology, biomarker strategy, and cross-functional programs to advance precision medicine.

You will mentor teams, shape exploratory and validated biomarker approaches, and collaborate with global partners to drive innovative research and development. The role requires a PhD and/or MD with deep drug development expertise, fluent English, and strong leadership skills

Qualifications

Fluent in oral and written English; ability to communicate with senior leadership and external partners.
Proven track record leading diverse biomarker teams and projects.
Deep expertise in drug development and translational biomarker strategies.

Responsibilities

Identify, develop and drive biomarker strategies across Neuroscience and DARe portfolios.
Provide strategic oversight for indication selection, biomarker strategy and mechanism investigations.
Lead and mentor biomarker project leads and therapeutic area leads.
