Zusammenfassung

BRNC at ETH Zurich invites a hands-on Nanofabrication R&D Engineer to join the cleanroom operations. You will develop, optimize, and document nanofabrication processes, while taking ownership of selected equipment and coordinating maintenance and vendor interactions.

You will contribute to safety protocols, train researchers, and support digital workflows. Strong German and English communication, plus a proactive, collaborative mindset, are essential.

Qualifikationen

• A university degree in materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, nanotechnology, microengineering or related field.
• At least 5 years hands‑on nanofabrication and semiconductor processing experience.
• Understanding of materials hazards, compatibility, contamination risks; experience with new materials/ processes.
• Proficiency with IT tools, process databases, and digital platforms; willingness to learn.
• Self‑motivated, creative, proactive problem solver with responsibility.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Good command of German and English.

Aufgaben

• Design, develop, optimize, and document nanofabrication processes; support R&D projects.
• Own selected semiconductor cleanroom equipment maintenance and vendor interactions.
• Safety ownership and development of safety protocols for BRNC operations.
• Train and support researchers; contribute to courses, seminars, and tours.
• Maintain operating manuals and records; drive digital workflow integration.
• Stay up to date with nanofabrication trends; drive continuous improvement.
