Zusammenfassung

ETH Zürich's BRNC invites applications for a Nanofabrication R&D Engineer to join the dynamic cleanroom operations team. You will develop and optimize nanofabrication processes, assume ownership of critical equipment, and support safe introduction of new materials and methods while collaborating with researchers across disciplines.

The role blends scientific understanding with hands-on facility work, including training, documentation, and digital workflow improvements to enable ambitious

Qualifikationen

  • At least 5 years of hands-on professional experience in nanofabrication and semiconductor processing.
  • Strong understanding of materials, chemical hazards, contamination risks.
  • Experience evaluating or introducing new chemicals, materials, or processes into a complex technical environment.
  • High comfort with modern IT tools, process databases, and digital solutions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Aufgaben

  • Design, develop, optimize, and document nanofabrication processes.
  • Own and maintain selected cleanroom equipment, including deposition and characterization systems.
  • Lead safety initiatives and manage chemicals and safety equipment.
  • Train researchers on tool usage and process development.
  • Maintain manuals, records, and digital workflows.
  • Pursue continuous improvement and adapt to evolving challenges.
