Zusammenfassung

ETH Swiss GeoLab invites a Natural Hazards Mission Lead to shape and deliver a mission-focused portfolio. You will coordinate with senior partners, define priorities, and manage budgets while guiding research and development to deliver value for Swiss practitioners and authorities.

You will report to the Managing Director and collaborate with ETH Zurich affiliates, public agencies and industry partners to drive pilots, field validation, and integration into workflows.

Qualifikationen

• Master’s or PhD in natural hazards, geosciences, engineering, risk management or related fields.
• Several years of experience in natural hazard practice, applied research, public administration, consulting, engineering or industry.
• Strong expertise in natural hazards with demonstrated dashboard and tracking tools.

Aufgaben

• Define an ambitious research and development portfolio for the Natural Hazards Mission.
• Translate operational gaps into measurable outcomes delivering value to practitioners and decision-makers.
• Engage with authorities, infrastructure operators, practitioners and expert communities.
• Translate operational challenges into research, data, product and technical requirements.
• Establish measurable mission outcomes, roadmaps and success criteria; track progress.
