SurgeonsLab, a Basel-based MedTech company, seeks a commercially driven professional to build a career in B2B sales of advanced simulation technologies. Previous MedTech sales experience is not mandatory; strong learning and relationship-building skills are key.
You will identify hospital, academic, and research accounts, develop account strategies, conduct demonstrations, and collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate complex products into customer value across Europe.
Entry to Mid-Senior Level | Basel, Switzerland
SurgeonsLab is a global MedTech company developing high-fidelity physical and virtual surgical and interventional simulation technologies. Our platforms support hospitals, surgeons, academic institutions, research centers, and medical-device companies in procedural training, clinical education, product demonstrations, device development, testing, and innovation. We operate at the intersection of medicine, engineering, and advanced simulation, serving customers across Europe, the United States, and international markets.
We are looking for a commercially driven individual who wants to build or develop a career in MedTech. Previous MedTech sales experience is not mandatory.
We are particularly interested in experience in: B2B Technical Sales | SaaS | Life Sciences | Biotechnology | Diagnostics | Engineering Solutions | Capital or Scientific Equipment | Healthcare. You should already understand how professional B2B selling works and have the curiosity to learn technically complex medical products quickly. What matters is your ability to: Learn → Communicate → Qualify → Build Trust → Solve Problems → Advance Opportunities → Close Business
This is a Basel-based commercial and field role. We welcome candidates based in Switzerland, Swiss/EU/EFTA nationals willing to work from Basel, eligible cross-border candidates from neighbouring countries (including under the Swiss G-permit framework), and those already holding Swiss work authorization.
Demonstrated practical use of a structured sales methodology is required, such as MEDDIC / MEDDPICC | SPIN Selling | Challenger | Sandler | Consultative Selling | Value-Based Selling.
You should be able to show how you have used it to identify needs and pain points, qualify opportunities, identify decision-makers and economic buyers, develop champions, run discovery, handle objections, build account strategies, forecast, and progress complex B2B deals to close. We care more about how you apply a methodology than about formal training.
Excellent professional English is mandatory, plus professional working proficiency in at least two of: German | French | Italian | Spanish | Dutch. Other Western European languages are also valued; German and/or French are particularly advantageous. You should be comfortable presenting, running discovery, and building relationships across cultures.
Education: Bachelor's or master's preferred in Business, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Healthcare, Medical Technology, Economics, or Marketing. Equivalent experience considered.
Experience: Entry-level through mid-senior. Relevant backgrounds include technical B2B sales, SaaS, life sciences, biotech, diagnostics, engineering solutions, capital or laboratory equipment, healthcare technology, medical devices, or other complex solution selling. MedTech experience is an advantage, not a requirement.
Travel is an important part of this role — throughout Switzerland, across Europe, and internationally — for customer meetings, demonstrations, workshops, conferences, clinical programs, training, and partner meetings. Travel is not limited to a fixed territory or percentage. Occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel may be required, particularly for conferences and international events.
Applications are welcome from Swiss and EU/EFTA nationals, holders of appropriate Swiss work authorization, and eligible cross-border (G-permit) candidates. Other situations will be assessed individually under Swiss requirements.
The successful candidate must complete MedTech compliance, ethical-sales, product, clinical, and procedural training, plus hospital credentialing where applicable. Accurate and responsible representation of SurgeonsLab technologies is essential.
Startup-oriented package based on responsibility, performance, and progression.
Indicative annual gross base salary: CHF 65,000 – CHF 95,000, plus performance-based variable compensation. Final compensation depends on experience, commercial capability, languages, and responsibility.
Applications not substantially meeting the language, commercial, location, and work-authorization requirements may not progress to interview.
We're not only looking for someone who already knows MedTech. We're looking for someone who is already good at selling, communicating, learning, and building relationships — and who wants to apply those abilities to medicine and technology.
If that's you, we'd like to hear from you.
