CDDS, a high-tech startup near Zurich, seeks a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to design components in SolidWorks and run structured hardware tests for our high-speed interceptor drone.

You will implement Python-driven tests to validate sensors (IMU, camera, GPS), calibrate parameters, and iterate mechanical assemblies. This role blends practical prototyping with rigorous testing in a fast‑paced environment, with tangible impact on Europe’s security tech.

Qualifikationen

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering with industry experience.
• Comfort with Python scripting for sensor tests and data logging.
• Strong SolidWorks skills for 3D modeling, assemblies and drawings.
• Hands-on prototyping experience building what you design.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced startup with long hours.

Aufgaben

• Test and compare sensor components (IMU, camera, GPS) to identify the best option
• Run and adapt Python scripts to execute structured hardware tests, adjust parameters, and capture measurement data
• Establish calibration set‑ups and best parameters for various sensors
