Zusammenfassung

CDDS, located near Zurich Hardbrücke, seeks a hands‑on Mechanical Engineer to design mechanical components in SolidWorks and drive structured hardware testing with Python scripts, sensor validation and calibration for our high‑speed interceptor drone. You will test sensors (IMU, camera, GPS), adapt Python tests, establish calibration setups, and iterate on mechanical assemblies.

Strong SolidWorks skills, 3D printing prototyping, and a BSc/MSc in mechanical engineering are required; startup pace

Qualifikationen

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering – industry experience required
• Comfortable running and adapting Python scripts to drive sensor tests, adjust parameters, and log data
• Strong SolidWorks proficiency (3D modelling, assemblies, drawings) and 3D printing prototyping
• Hands‑on prototyping experience – you build what you design

Aufgaben

• Test and compare new sensor components (IMU, camera, GPS) to identify the best option
• Run and adapt Python scripts to execute structured hardware tests, adjust parameters, and capture measurement data
• Establish calibration set‑ups and best parameters for various sensors
