Distalmotion SA in Épalinges seeks a Mechanical Engineer to join Instruments – Product Improvement to drive product optimization with a strong focus on cost reduction, manufacturing efficiency, and continuous improvement for the surgical system instruments.

You will design mechanical components, fixtures and tooling with DFM/DFA/DFC, perform impact analyses, and lead root cause investigations, collaborating with Ops, QA and RA to ensure regulatory compliance (ISO 13485, MDR).

Qualifikationen

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical/Microtechnology engineering.
• At least 5 years in medical device or highly regulated environments.

Aufgaben

• Design mechanical components and tooling with DFM/ DFA/ DFC.
• Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities without compromising safety.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from prototyping to industrialization.
• Perform impact analysis on manufacturing, costs, and risk; define test protocols and verification.
• Lead root cause investigations and manage CAPAs for quality improvements.
