Job Description Purpose of the role To plan, execute, manage and oversee a wide range of events and/ or hospitality initiatives, collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and external vendors to develop creative and impactful event or hospitality experiences

Accountabilities Development, planning and strategic oversight of events of any format, including conferences, seminars, product launches, client appreciation events, external partnership events, sponsored conference programmes, internal engagement events client entertaining through hospitality & ticket only and other marketing initiatives. End to end management all aspects of event logistics, including format proposal, all venue and vendor selection and management, production management, content development, delegate, host and speaker management and on site co-ordination of these, as needed. Management of the hospitality programme, through Barclays-owned sponsorship assets, contracted memberships and adhoc brokering for clients and internal stakeholders, where applicable. Understanding of and adherence to all applicable internal controls throughout the planning process as well as identifying and mitigating potential areas of risk. Post event or hospitality assessments to analyse the success of each initiative and identify areas for improvement. Expert advisor and partner to stakeholders and hosts to ensure event delivery meets their aims and objectives, in certain cases. Build and maintenance of industry relationships with suppliers and industry experts to stay at the forefront of event & hospitality trends, technology advances, new openings and best practices, where applicable.

Join us as a Marketing and Event Coordinator in our Private Bank and Wealth Management team based in Geneva. This role works across the Private Bank and Wealth Management business delivering a diverse portfolio of brand partnerships and events from conferences, investment outlooks, roundtable dinners and UHNW lifestyle offerings. You will partner with the Europe Private Bank business to develop, manage and execute a diverse range of face to face and virtual events / brand experiences to the highest standard through excellent organisational skills, innovation and creativity. You will ensure activity is aligned with and deliver commercial and client outcomes, adhere to firm-wide policies and procedures, marketing/communications strategies and our corporate narrative.

What you will be doing

Support the Head of Marketing Europe in delivering the marketing strategy for Switzerland, with a broader remit across Europe, translating business priorities into integrated marketing activity. Support the planning and execution of local marketing campaigns and assigned annual event plans, ensuring activity is aligned with brand, audience and commercial objectives. Liaise with advertising and creative agencies on campaign development and advertising placements, and coordinate local paid media campaigns with the central London marketing team. Coordinate the production, approval and delivery of marketing content and campaign assets across relevant paid, owned and event channels, maintaining brand consistency and regulatory compliance. Manage speaker and host requirements, including agenda development, research and recommendations, presentations, briefings and supporting content. Manage and segment client distribution lists to support targeted delivery of local marketing campaigns, communications and events activity. Prepare marketing and event collateral, including adapting banker pitchbooks, event invitations, campaign copy, briefing materials and detailed on-site schedules. Monitor campaign and event performance, support post-activity reporting and evaluation, and capture insights to inform future marketing activity. Anticipate staffing requirements on-site to secure additional resources in advance Accountable for accuracy of all communications and reports

Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

End-to-end marketing and event delivery – Proven ability to plan, execute and evaluate campaigns and events, ideally for HNW/UHNW audiences. Stakeholder and supplier management – Strong communication, influencing and organisational skills, with the ability to coordinate internal stakeholders, agencies, speakers and suppliers. Risk, compliance and budget management – Ability to deliver accurate, brand-aligned activity within regulatory requirements, internal policies, budgets and deadlines.

Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

Private banking or investment management knowledge – Understanding of wealth management products, client needs and the regulated financial-services environment. Marketing technology and analytical capability – Experience using event-management platforms, distribution lists and performance data to measure outcomes and improve activity. Relevant qualification and digital proficiency – A degree in Marketing or Business Management, together with strong Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills. You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills.
