Job summary

SteveRecruiter, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Tech in Berne, IN to optimize production, improve safety, and enhance quality across plant operations.

Your day will include time studies, Bills of Labor, set labor rates, create CAD drawings for workstations and layouts, and design material flow systems. You will also drive kanban, write operator instructions, and pursue automation to boost throughput; familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or basic coding is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Associate or Bachelor’s) or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or basic coding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Optimize Production: Conduct time studies, build Bills of Labor, and set labor rates.
• Design & Layout: Create CAD drawings for workstations, plant layouts, and material flow systems.
• Drive Efficiency: Build kanban systems, write clear operator work instructions, and automate processes to improve safety and throughput.
• Analyze & Improve: Perform cost analysis, root-cause problem solving, and material/equipment testing.
