Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer Tech for a client in Berne, IN to optimize production, improve safety and quality on the shop floor. You will conduct time studies, build labor standards, design workstation layouts with CAD, and develop material flow systems.

The role emphasizes problem-solving, leadership, and communication as you drive efficiency, create operator work instructions, and analyze costs, root causes, and testing of materials and equipment.

Qualifications

Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Associate or Bachelor’s) or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience in a manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Optimize Production: Conduct time studies, build Bills of Labor, and set labor rates.
Design & Layout: Create CAD drawings for workstations, plant layouts, and material flow systems.
Drive Efficiency: Build kanban systems, write clear operator work instructions, and automate processes to improve safety and throughput.
Analyze & Improve: Perform cost analysis, root-cause problem solving, and material/equipment testing.
