Job summary

Our client in Berne, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Tech to optimize production, design workstation layouts, and drive efficiency across plant operations. You will create CAD drawings, build kanban systems, and develop clear work instructions to improve safety and throughput.

The role requires a degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent experience) and proficiency with CAD software and MS Office. Experience in manufacturing and exposure to Power BI/SQL are a plus.

Qualifications

Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Associate or Bachelor’s) or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Familiarity with Power BI, SQL, or basic coding is a plus

Responsibilities

Optimize Production: Conduct time studies, build Bills of Labor, and set labor rates.
Design & Layout: Create CAD drawings for workstations, plant layouts, and material flow systems.
Drive Efficiency: Build kanban systems, write clear operator work instructions, and automate processes to improve safety and throughput.
Analyze & Improve: Perform cost analysis, root-cause problem solving, and material/equipment testing.
