Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Tech to optimize production processes on the shop floor in Berne, IN. You will design workstation layouts, build material flow systems, and drive efficiency through Kanban implementations and process automation.

The role requires CAD proficiency, strong problem solving, and leadership abilities with prior manufacturing experience. No relocation is offered; candidate must be commutable to Berne, IN.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Associate or Bachelor’s) or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.

Are you a proactive engineer who loves optimizing processes and solving problems on the shop floor? We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer Tech for our client in Berne, IN, driving efficiency, safety, and quality across plant operations.

What You’ll Do

• Optimize Production: Conduct time studies, build Bills of Labor, and set labor rates.




• Design & Layout: Create CAD drawings for workstations, plant layouts, and material flow systems.




• Drive Efficiency: Build kanban systems, write clear operator work instructions, and automate processes to improve safety and throughput.




• Analyze & Improve: Perform cost analysis, root-cause problem solving, and material/equipment testing.

What We’re Looking For

• Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (Associate or Bachelor’s) or equivalent experience.




• Proficiency with CAD software and Microsoft Office.
